First Timer
Well, I will willingly admit it, I am a noob. I haven't played D&D before. I was told this is a fairly decent place to come and learn the basics and not so basics of the wonderful world of RPG. I'm always willing to learn as much as I can to make the game a very memorable experience. Very many thanks I will extend to those who are ready and willing to offer their assistance.

WELCOME
Hello Glad you came here. It is never to late to learn to play D&D. It is such fun. Meet lots of neat players, long distance , play and meet so very interesting characters.
LEt you imagination free. There are lots of experienced and helpful DM's and players that can help you out. Look around the threads for games that interest you, lurk in them (that means follow along with what is happening, without participating. See how other play their characters and remember their characters are not the players. Some characters are difficult, some are nice, some are loyal and true, others deceitful, still others are brave and some are or foolhardy. See how people play their characters. You might be able to pick up a character where the player has had to drop a game just pay attention to the threads asking for replacements or new games starting.
Most of all have fun!

Welcome to the Inn
Welcome!
I must say, you picked a fine place to learn. This is where I learned the basics of D&D. There is no comparison to a face-to-face game, but the slower pace of play-by-post makes learning the game much simpler. I hope you have a good time here, and if you ever need a hand with ANYTHING, just drop me a line.

Welcome welcome welcome!
Check out the recruitments and feel free to jump right into a game. I suggest fantasy free-form games, shoot the person running it a private message and see what the situation is with that game.
I, like all the others here, am open for questions.

Jolly Welcome!
Well I wasn't the first to greet you, but welcome all the same. Always good to see new faces.
I only joined up here a few months ago and I've found it wonderful here. Everyone is really nice and always willing to answer questions.
I know you said you were looking for D&D games, but I'm sure you'll find that we all play a little bit everything. I run the Borden Murder Mystery game, free form, and am always looking for people to come in (so I have less NPC's to play lol ). If your interested read it over and drop me a line, or just skip the reading for now and join up !
Well welcome again and will see you around!

Fresh blood meat members! Welcome to the Inn!
I must agree with the earlier posts, you've picked an excellent place to learn. Honestly one of the best e-communities I've ever seen has the Inn. Welcome and enjoy!
Because no one said it yet, don't feed me apparently.

Nobody said it, Grugg...
...because as of about three months ago, every new Innmate that joins gets a 'Don't Feed the Grugg' e-mail along with thier account verification stuff.
We thought about making it one of those annoying EULA pop-up thingies... you know, enter username, password, click Login... boink pop-up says "I will be a good Innmate and will not feed the Grugg"... select radio button "I agree" or "Feed the Grugg a Kitten". Had problems with PETA on that one, though, so we decided on the e-mail approach.
Oh..almost forgot... Welcome aboard Innmate Shadow Flare!

Welcome ShadowFlare!!
As an old and experienced gamer, I found the Inn, and it has re-kindled a flagging interest in gaming. Great games and great people here!
I will also throw my hat into the ring of those offering to purvey knowledge to one who is interested, new or otherwise.
