Happy All Hallow's Eve!
Darkness falls across the land
The midnite hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize yawls neighbourhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpses shell
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzy ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller!
Just wanted to wish everyone a frightening Halloween!

Hmm
I woke up this morning and went for a run and literally ran into three kids dressed as George Bush 2 minutes into it.
That was fun.

Night
Here under the moonlit night,
Will reign terrors of the eternal plight.
The guards are down; everyone will see clear,
Those images of nightmares and of fear.
The shadow of death raises its head,
Images of deceit pretend they're dead.
To hide is to be seen, here in the light,
Of a phantom moon in a dark, twisted night.
Immaterial wind whistles in the air,
As barriers weaken without a care.
The realms collide on All Hallow's Eve,
And spiders fill the cracks with their web's weave.
But occasionally, something does come through,
And one's mind flounders about what to do.
How does one see such an unbeing?
The mind conjures images instead of seeing.
The barriers have been lifted; they are all gone,
And children of science wonder what is going on.
But the children of silence know all too well,
Taking a stand to fight what others call 'hell'.
Yet, is it a fight that can be won?
For it is fought without the comfort of the sun.

Is that guy on the far right suppose to be gangsta? That'd be an awesome costume if he normally dressed with pants all tucked in and pocket protector and such. And btw that shirt is awesome.

That big guy - the second one from the right - looks pretty scary. He's like an rpg nerd or something. I'd give him all my candy right away... Actually I'd probably give him a big hug, should I get to meet him in person.

Mwahaha!
Enjoy your Hallowe'en in whatever matter you so see fit. Reject and shun those as would suggest to you it is a holiday for the devil (I was confronted with a rather disturbing pamplet earlier). I've got about another hour left on this Eve of All Hallows.
PS that pamplet was one of the first times I had seen the word 'Druid' outside of D&D context, though there was nothing good said about it.
^-^

Halloween Dungeon
Tonight was regular D&D 3.5 table game. So I created a Dungeon with a program and added random hall encounters with wandering undead and The most horrible Halloween monsters imaginable, or unimaginable.
There were the Predatory Peanuts (In their shells) 1d6 Random attacks
1 Fart: poisonous gas 5 feet 1d3 fort save 13
2 Spit acid: 5 feet 1d3 Ref Save 14 for half
3 Explode: 5 feet 2D4 Ref Save 14 for half
4 Hurl nuts: 2 10 feet 1d4 each Ref Save 14 for half
5 Tentacles: Grab, entangle, trip, squeeze 1 d3
6 Bite: 1d3
Silver Horrors 1d6 (Hersheys Kisses)1d6 Ramdon attacks
1 Explode: 1d4 Ref Save 14 for half
2 Melt: Trap, slow acid Ref Save 14 for half and if trapped/Fort Save 12
3 Gas: Euphoria, Fort Save 13 or be affected for 1d4 rounds
4 Irresistible urge to eat Silver Horror/ Will save 13
5 Bull Rush Attack: 2d4
6 Teleport i creature within 5” radius to random location,
41-60 Terrible Tootsie Rolls 1d2 in # and Small, med, & large
1 Explode: 1d4 Ref Save 14 for half
2 Melt: Trap, sticky goo Ref Save 14 for half and if trapped break free on 15
3 Gas: Sleep, Fort Save 13 or be affected for 1d4 rounds
4 Strangle if slept, 1d4 .round
5 Log Roll Attack: 2d4
6 Irresistible Urge to eat terrible Tootsie Roll/ Will save 13
Undead
1-2 Skeletons
3-4 Ghouls
5 Ghasts
6 Ghosts
7 Wraiths
8 Wights
9-10 Zombies
Then there were the traps--the most dreaded was the Tootsie Pop Pendulum. The Candy Corn grenades, and the Melted Caramel Pits.
Whoever put the killing blow into one of the edible creatures got to eat it.
We did not finish it so it will continue next week, but it was a blast.
