New here

Hello all. My name is Xian. I haven't played in a loooong time and decided to look up online games to see if anyone was running campaigns online and here I am. I'm a full time artist. I call NYC home but am away on a sabbatical that has me in Nashville for a few weeks then I'm off to Seattle and the last part of my sabbatical will land me in a cabin in the middle of the woods in Alaska for some much needed solitude. I look forward to finding some folks to play with.

welcome, newbie!

Welcome to the Inn! We're glad to have you.

We're not a site that enforces a "one size fits all" system of gaming - each and every GM tends to have their own style.

Go to the recruitment threads and see if you can find any games that appeal to you. Barring that, start your own thread with what you would like to get involved with.

Up for some fun?

I have a lighthearted game based loosely on the paranoia system that is just beginning.

Feel free to join in, we'd love to have you!

Welcome Welcome!

Glad to have another shinning face around the place.
Are you sure you want us nutty people keeping you company while your locked up in some cabin? They call us InnMates for a reason!! *wide grin*

At any rate, welcome and hope you enjoy the nuttiness.

Oh! No one has said it yet: Feed the Grugg.

M.

Welcome to the New Guy!

Was once there, and the inhabitants of this place made me feel more than welcome.

Question(s):

Do you prefer a free-form game (no or few rules) or a rules-based system?

Which genre do you prefer?

What game system within that genre do you prefer to play?

Which version of the gaming system (if applicable) do you prefer? (please don't say D&D 4th Ed ...)

Thank you

Well, thank you all for the warm welcome. As to the type of game, we're talking many years ago when I used to play. Back then it was Gurps (whatever module God wanted to run at the time) D&D first and second editions and Vampire the Masquerade. I really liked all three. I wouldn't say I'm a stickler for rules but I do like to actually role play and based on conversations I've had with others in Neverwinter Nights and on WOW, I don't like the newer editions of D&D. There were good solid common sense reasons for bonuses and detriments based on race and class. Doing away with those only cater to people who probably shouldn't be playing to begin with.

I may feed the grugg, but i'll make him do tricks first. ;-D

You'll do what now? - Grugg
