Dragon lair revealed

You crest a small hill and look down on your latest town in your search for a decent quest to take on. A cliff rises up at the back of the town, a small line showing where a track leads up to the top of the cliff from the bottom. Your eyes go down until your looking at the town itself.

Spread out in a semi-circle from the cliff face are its walls. And the building start off low at the walls but grow and grow as they get closer to the centre of the circle. Right in the middle is an amazing sight. Towers rise up from the ground, reaching for the sky, and bridges span between them, and to the cliff itself, which is also carves in the likeness of towers, stretching higher once more.

You head toward town and find yourself standing in a line of people as they wait for entrance into the town. Above the entrance you see a sign "Welcome to Dragonhelm Cliff town. You see
guards searching everyone who is coming in and going out of the city, two guards doing the searching, another six guards standing off to the side, and more arrayed along the top of the wall.

The city seemed on edge. Even the solid marble walls, that were just one of the most amazing sights in this town, seemed to be quivering. Something big had happened here.

Interesting.

A small thudding accompanied Ike's movement as his hoofs hit the ground. A rather impressive city was before him, one like he had never seen. Not like he had seen many cities of villages before, but he had seen some. Letting out a whistle, he reined of onto his rear legs, and stopped his movement.

"What big city. Has anyone seen a city like that before? I haven't..."

Ike gazed at the city. Standing almost seven feet tall on all fours, he had the bottom half of a large mountain goat, with the torso of a human. At the top of his head grew two large curled horns. He had white hair, which flowed in his horns, and bounced when he walked. His bare chest was well sculpted, with no evidence of fat existent. Strapped to his back were two massive sheaths, with hilts in easy reach of his large arms. His brow was furrowed, in contemplation of what he could sense.

As he observed the city, he noticed that something wasn't quite right... something had everyone on edge. "Do any of you get the feeling that something's not quite right here? Or am do I have my horns in a ruffle?"
