Gods of the Rock Ballad

As I'm sure many of you know, and I am certainly aware, the late 60's and early 70's were a time of soft rock, and some of the greatest and well known bands of all time made their making here. It was do or die, and the love song certainly kept the boat afloat for the true Gods of the Rock Ballad.

Let's begin. Simple enough: Who was your favoritr band back then? Rules? They have to have at least one Ballad that had to do with love (not that most don't).

Mine:

Chicago.

Something about Chicago is magical, captivating even. In fact I'm listening my favorite song by them right now, which happens to be my favorite song of all time.

Hard to Say I'm Sorry/Get Away

Yep, one of the best songs to play if your ever sorry...totally. "Your the Inspiration" was the song my parents danced to at their wedding, "Saturday in the Park", was the first song I ever listened to, and 24 or 6 to 4 was the song played at my cousins 24 birthday, her sister was celbrating her sixth birthday, and her little brother was to have his fourth in a few days...ironic huh...

Whats your favorite? Why?
