I have had some unfortunate luck since coming to this site. Quite a few games have disappeared within the first couple of months of starting. Some of them had very legitimate reasons for not being able to continue, some just faded away and never came back. But whatever the reason, I have been left with characters and no campaigns.
I would love to find a good D&D game - one that the GM is pretty sure will stick around for awhile.
Most of my game experience is with the older versions of the game. I have never seen version 4, for example. I have now started campaigns in the previous couple. I am more than willing to learn new systems. Plus, it doesn't bother me if I don't know all the rules and have to rely on the GM. Tell me what to roll and I will roll it. I have played quite a bit of the older systems and have had no trouble picking up whatever I needed to so far.
Also, I like the role-playing side of things. A few of the games I have started (that might or might not return: Xenophobia, Out of the Garden, Haunted Highlands) were very heavy on roleplaying. Check out the threads and you'll get a feel for what I write. I have also played and can enjoy the traditional pub crawl, oops, dungeon crawl/hack and slash event.
In the past I have had no trouble keeping up consistent postings and see no problem in the future. If you would like an addition to your game, drop me a note.

Look under Core Rules
I'm about to start a game using 3.5E. Check out the Core Rules post. It's in the recruitment threads as well. Let me know ASAP if you want to join. I have to have all of the characters by the end of tonight.
I will look it up. Not sure if I can make that deadline, however. We'll see how time works out.
EDIT: I can't get the character made tonight. I am judging a high school debate tournament and have been given no time off between rounds. If you can wait until tomorrow (Saturday) I could try and crank out a character. (Do you have a specific need?) I won't bother unless you say go ahead since you had already put the deadline on. It is 90% likely that I could get a character done by 3 tomorrow afternoon. At least the basics. Let me know if I should do so.
To others, if this falls through I am still in the market for a game. Or maybe I'd add another one anyway.

Ok, well, the other game apparently didn't work because I couldn't get everything done in one night. But I am still looking for a game. Anyone else?

I'll be your huckleberry
I will be starting a 2e game soon (January) if you are interested. I should get the recruitment posting up this weekend. Based in Audalis, low level (2nd levels). I have been a Dm since 1982 so I bring a lot of experience to the table.

You're still welcome
You can still play if you want it. Sorry, I didn't see the posting here. Let me know if you're still interested. We currently have a dwarven warmage, a human druid, a gnome bard, and an elven ranger/scout.
If you are still interested, get the character stuff to me ASAP (either via pm or by email). The history stuff is what I'm most interested in as it is those that I have to modify and intertwine to work with the other characters and the campaign setting as a whole.
