2nd Editon Priest Spells

Ok, here goes my first plunge into this sight. Is anyone intersted in spell sharing? I'm hoping to find some interesting home grown 2nd Edition spells that can spice adventures. I'm hoping for level one through four because at higher levels the original ones seem powerful enough. Also priest spells are not automatic which adds even more fun. I play a Gnome Cleric and just started a Barbarian Priest that is also a Werebear. (I had to write a Pantheon for Werebear Priet. If anyone would be interest in that back story I can post it.) I have just written a couple of spells for the Gnome and I'll post them if there is any interest in this thread. So anyone interested??????

Well, there you are!

First and foremost, as I said in PMs earlier, welcome to the Inn... ... I was wondering when I'd see this thread appear?

Secondly, I'm not much of a magic user type, myself, so, unfortunately I don't have any original spells of any sort to contribute... Buuuuuut there are those among our vast array of Innmates who just loooooooove the magical-magey sorts, and the devout-divinely-inspired types who, I am sure, will be happy to share and contribute.... who knows, I may even get inspired at some point.

Aaaaand, finally... *facelick*

*pondering*

I haven't created any spells myself, but I remember a group my friend was in made a spell to summon a flaming sheep that exploded on impact. I will consult with him and ask about the detailed mechanics.

well

Back in the day, if someone wanted to play a caster in my games, they had to create a new spell. It served two purposes - first, it showed me if they had the creativity needed to be a caster, and second, it gave me instant homebrew material for my campaign world.

I'll see if I can dig some up for ya.

My Last One

I used this in a encounter when three ships carrying Hobgoblin were coming in to a captured port. We had two Druids in the party. One became an Eagle and flew my Gnome out and dropped him on the last ship. He cast the this spell (rolled a 19) and the ship started to tumble apart. The other Druid became a dolphin and pick me up in the water and took me back to shore. It was a roit. Worked much better than Warp Wood.

Open to all...

Ok, let's open this up to all Editions and we'll even look for those magic mages. If you've written any spell share it here. How about some stories of spells gone wrong. How about those amazing hits that saved the day. Come on and brag or boast, laugh or lie it's just GOOD TIMES here at the Ye Olde "Spell Swap Shop".

Favorite Spells

Undo is a cool spel.l

I have a lot of spells from another source I have worked into my games, "Fresh Air" makes air in your lungs, shut your mouth and hold your nose you can still breath because oxygen is created in the lungs.

Cantrips, "Dry" fries items, "Freshen" removes smell, "Color Change" obvioius, "Sparks" like a sparkler going off can make person or animal flinch, and "Fire Finger", finger lights like a bic. The old "Hot Foot heats up persons foot." and cantrips from first ed, all those old cantrips that students learning magic used to practice and for practical jokes.

Shaping spell, shapes other spells to a just about anyting you desire . The figger the more expensive, hex, multi-hex, ball, beam, ray, flare, as well as cone, hemisphere or sphere, box, etc. those kind of act to raise effective level of spell.

"Light" spells that get brighter by level, All the spells that scale up all the damage spells of firem cold, etc.

Star Rune makes any items tougher. a spell that put a a rune on an item permanently.

"Return", if you throw a returned items it will return to your hand normally and if you dropped it or it was taken from you, you can call a sword or dagger with return on it from a place you dropped or left it from 20 feet away. "Apport" allows you to call it if you can see it, and "Teleport" allows you to fetch item from anywhere, even out of someone's hand.

"Comfort" Spell, person can easily tolerate temperatures from 0 to +100 degrees, "Improved Comfort" from -40 to +140 degrees.

"Glass Steel" spell cast on steel to make it transparent, great for helmets and shields, since in that game helmets and shields decreased ones ability to see.
