Full Frontal Nerdity

To start out, its not what you think, there are no naked nerds anywhere to be seen. I just thought I would share a link to this webcomic my dad turned me on to during a family reunion this past weekend. I've only gotten to the strips from January '06, but is has been good so far. Plenty of gamer/geek humor I'm sure we can all relate to I'm sure.

Just read a few...

So far it's hilarious! Reminds me of some of the games and people I've played with.

Yes!!

At the risk of invoking the collective wrath of t_catt11 and Hobolyra, yes I too am a fan of this webcomic. Aaron Williams does phenomenal work, whether in FFN or Nodwick or any of the many one-panel comics he has done in Dragon Magazine. FFN also ran in Scrye Magazine right up until its final edition last year.

Ooooh I hope not!

I hope noone gets offended!

It's a good strip, funny, witty, etc. It's not Loaded Dice though.

I peruse through them at my leisure between database work and report writing. I just found that one funny, because well I have thought of doing something like that. Not for a RPG, but for other things.

Ach, no worries, lad!

Webcomix are celebrated for their differences, not similarities. Besides, it's readily apparent which strip is first in the hearts of the Innmates.

FFN is cool because of its treatment of all things and flavors of tabletop gaming. . .
Nodwick clues us in to the inner workings of an RPG party (or how it fails to work sometimes) and the struggles of the titular henchman. . .
Penny Arcade is. . .well, it's Penny Arcade. I don't think I could add to that discussion.
Axe Cop is a wonderful slice of random lunacy (it is written by a 6-year-old, after all) topped with whipped dementia. . .
And Loaded Dice is a focused examination of both the real world (players and dm) and the fantasy world (PC's and environment) and how they come in the middle of this Venn Diagram of Role-Playing. One world affects the other. Both exist symbiotically. It is by having one foot in each world that we are made whole.

Very nice and well written.

Thanks for that Pit F(r)iend! Sums it up nicely.

Have you or anyone else any thoughts on The Guild - Videos .

Odyson turned me on to those episodes a while back, I haven't went through all of them but they are kind of funny. It if of course more about online gaming, but it is still good.

CC?

Do they have closed captioning available yet? That's the only way I could watch it and get away with it completely.

Hehehe

"Bladez! Guild Rule #12!!"

Yeah, obviously just saw the first episode via YouTube--the previous link was a little confusing. It did show up with captions, Questor--maybe later seasons haven't been cc'ed yet?

Edit: Out of respect for the OP, Shield Wolf, perhaps any further Guild discussion should be in a separate thread.

In an old strip of FFN, the mustachioed balding guy (forgive my forgetting his name) once used a Millenium Falcon mini during a game of Pirates put-together-minis game. His justification was epic ForTheWin!

Just how deep is "Giveacrap Bay" and how much "care" must they dredge?

Nelson gets an Applaud for epic craftiness.

Today's Comic

These guys are insufferable (from a DM's p.o.v)! Ah well, at least they have enough basic tactics to make them macros--my guys take forever even when faced with one or two creatures!
