Arcadia City Super Team! - M&M2
I've been brainstorming with an idea for a Mutants & Masterminds setting which I call Camelot City. The idea basically revolves around the idea that fairies, led by Morgana le Fey, have made three attempts at attacking Earth, each time (supposedly) spilling fairy energies into the setting's reality which causes some people to develop superhuman abilities. If not for Merlin, and the Merlinian Order, the fairies might have succeeded.
You can skip this if you want, just some backstory
The most notable location in this setting is Camelot City, built with Stonehenge at its center. Merlin designed and created Stonehenge as a lock after the first attack. Nobody knows what is locked there, except maybe the inner circle of the Merlinian Order. King Arthur pulled Excalibur from the stone not far from the henge and the castle of Camelot was built at that spot. The Merlinian Order also has its headquarters in the city, a decision made after Morgana's second attempt at taking over the Earth and breaking Merlin's lock.
The third fairy war took place in 1952, shaking the world yet again after World War II. King Arthur returned and sacrificed himself in a battle against Balor, king of the dreadful formori. Merlin himself returned as well, and after the battle was over returned to slumber.
And start here again...
Basically, Camelot City is a very important location to the setting, but it is far from being the only one. I've been meaning to start a game here on the Inn so I thought, "why not start a game that will let the players add to the setting through play and their own characters' backstories?" That is what I am going to do.
Basically, one of the cities important to the setting is Arcadia City in the United States. I have not decided on a state or even coast (and I honestly don't think it will matter too much). As of yet, it is only a blank, generic city. Notable buildings or characters have not yet been created.
I am looking for a group of superheroes that will act as the Arcadian Superhero Team. The group can theoratically be dozens, but for this game there will only be a handful acting at any given time (3-6).
This is what I will require from the players:
-A player needs to create a reasonable character of powerlevel 10. Any 'unreasonable' character will be shot down (meaning broken characters, such as one with super strength and creates 100 duplicates of himself).
-... needs to be open to creating a location or an NPC that will fit the setting and the game. If you need a certain building, build it and assume it has been there as long as you need it to be. Any jerking around with this (such as the Master who knows everything, including the location of the villain's hideout and detailed info on the security, and willing to give up the information for free without a fuzz) will not be tolerated.
-... needs to be able to post fairly frequently. I'll be trying to update the game every week, but history has shown that I sometimes fail at that. I will not be waiting for players to post and if a players appears to have dropped out of the game I will recruit a new one.
-This is a setting somewhere between four-color and realistic. Your characters will be heroes and are expected to behave as such. But heroes can turn to villainy and so I won't be restricting your actions. If your character turns villain, however, he becomes an NPC.
-Players should be familiar with the d20 system, but really should look through the M&M book. If you need help with character creation, feel free to ask. You can use Core book system or Ultimate Power.
This is a single adventure, and I have not decided on any details. This is mostly for fun, so there is no need to take it too seriously.
Now that this long post is behind us, are there any takers?

.
So the game has one out of the minimum of three players I'm aiming for. I'd prefer getting this game up and running as soon as possible. If you don't know how to make a character and don't want to study the book too hard, but still want to play, I can make a character for you. Reading the book is recommended though.
Also, bump.

For what it's worth...
...I, personally, would love to jump into a game like this one; however, since I can scarcely manage to keep up with the ones I've already committed to, I've refrained from posting my interest.
Just inconvenient timing where I'm concerned, Skari...
Best of luck, though...
