Looking for a game

So I have time on my hands once and a while. I'm a DM about to finish another campaign and I'm looking for a game. I'm tired of DMing all the time or having games start but no good ending. I love to RP but I'm not the biggest fan of dice run battles. I'm also a writer though none of my stuff can be seen so I have no good examples to show. Well none that might not offend certain people.

I'm looking for a game where I can get some good quality Role playing done, but doesn't have to take a lot of my time. I'm very open to just about anything, Most of the Rp's I've done lately are on sensitive issues. I'm very open minded and willing to work with many different people to have a good game.

Can anyone suggest a good game for me to join? I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Stuff...

If you're looking for RP and an extensive background setting then I'd suggest my game Flux Wars.

Happy searching.

Thank you

I read through them and while Flux Wars sounds wonderful it's a bit father along then I would like to join. As for Smugglers Moon. I don't really want to play as a pirate right now. Thank you though for the offers of both.

Jing and I are thinking about starting our own game here. We have both run it before and are just about to concluded it on table top. There is a good reason for wanting to open it here. One it lets us see what other players would do in similar situations and second because we really did rush through most of it because of almost consent "Break" There was a wonderful story line and great characters that I feel never got fully developed due to the consent interruptions in game flow. We might play one week and not the next or we would get going really well then suddenly at the heart of a major plot point about to be fully explained in the following week someone would call off. You can see the frustration.

If we did this we would follow our outlines but not expect anyone "replace" the table top members. This would be an AU. and maybe if Jing and I like it better then the outcome of our current group we'll use it for our RP that we are planing after the campaign is over. Who knows. Jing tells me there are wonderful players here and I would like to experience players who really truly love the game not just think it's kind of fun once and a while.

Sorry ramblings. I'll quite now. *slinks shyly into the corner and vanishes*

Well

If games being too far through trouble you, you can always take a look at Footprints. Got a lot of vacancies at the moment, and we aren't too far through the story for it to be incomprehensible. [/endplug]

Damn, I did it again.

Ach, ashamedly, I have nothing to offer or suggest besides something that has been mentioned, and a shameless plug.

Firstly, as a player in the game, Footprints is a VERY heavy RPing game that's quick to jump in. It doesn't take up too much time, and not too much has happened that can't be caught up with. It's been going a bit longer than Flux Wars, but due to delays and a more free-form style of play means that there's less to catch up on, and easier to 'hop on board' as it is essentially in an early stage.

I have my own personal game, "Aftermath: The Scarred Continents", that is free for another player, and is a casual game with a post only required every few days if you want. I currently only have two players. On the plus side, it is very heavily Roleplaying based, and indeed you get experience for simply playing your character (similar to footprints), from attacking an NPC for a good reason [even if it ends badly] to making statements that are particularly realistic/roleplaying, to finding out information. On another plus side, despite the length of the posts, it's essentially at the very beginning, still before the 'main' element of the campaign.

On it's downsides, its not the most combat-centric game. So it may be a bit boring for many. More importantly, it has pages and pages of lore about the world and specifics, and while it's not required that you read or memorize it all, some basic knowledge I have to assume the characters know.

So it's quite slow. Oh, and come to think of it, I should mention (though it is essentially free-form) that the rules of the game are based on the 4th edition of D&D.

Er...also, as you can tell from this post, I tend to ramble and explain way too much stuff.

Heh

You're quite right Celtia... why do I need to even bother plugging my games, you'll happily do it all for me ^^

Two can plug at that game

Yeah, us footprints players waiting in limbo would be really glad for you to jump on board. I can assure you that in either game you'll be welcome and eased along (we'd just be grateful to have some new blood...).
