Took the Plunge

Okay InnMates

Late this afternoon I took the plunge and purchased some items from Castles & Crusades that I would need to develop a new adventure here at the Inn.

I mentioned in another post elsewhere that I am scheduled to go teach overseas in a Bible School, so have been preparing and am awaiting all the necessary funds to make the trip.

As part of that preparation I am leaving my C&C Books behind and purchased some pdf copies plus a pdf of the long awaited Tome that I need to develop an adventure.

Have it downloaded and there are 288 pages for me to browse and study before I figure out just what to develop.

However ... I did also purchase a pdf of a full color Map so I do know the general location of where the adventure begins and have a good idea of where it could take us!

What I am looking for at the moment is any feedback about what type of character level (in the C&C format) some of you may be looking for getting involved with later this year ??? (I will help with the character creation as what is necessary is only the Role Play and Characterization ... rather than a great knowledge of the game system!)

I have a germ of an idea about a small group of probably 5 adventurers/protectors who were known as The Leather Coats with the NPC/Character that I will be running having left the group because the woman he loved betrothed to his best friend (both being Leather Coats).

His journey of heart break took him south to a city where a river runs into a bay and the PC Characters will have No Knowledge of the territories that this heart broken Paladin has come from!

He has been away for quite possibly 3 to 5 years or so and has something to do with hiring Mercenaries or at least hanging out at a place where Mercenaries gather (still working on that one!)

This Adventure tentatively titled "Leather Coats Avengers" will begin when my NPC/PC Character learns the disturbing news that one of the Leather Coats has been found slain!

I have been kicking around if I would begin characters at level 9 or have them start out at the bottom 1-3 level or possibly Level 5 Characters and possibly allowing a Multi Class level of 5 and and another a level lower (have to study the New Book that I just downloaded to make a final decision on Multi Classing!)

My current thinking is the Level 5 to 3 Range to begin the PC Characters and possibly allowing a Level 4 or quite possibly Level 3 Multi Class (if I decide to go with a level 5 Class Character to begin the adventure) ... but this all depends upon the initial response to this posting from my fellow InMates!

Would like to have some of your Feed Back as to if you are interested in participating ... or at least interested in following this adventure as a Lurker ?????

Main Thing to Remember is that I have Not Even Begun Reading this New Book that I have downloaded to my laptop ... so it is quite possible that your Feed Back could spark some creativity for this adventure!

Thank You for Your Time and Thoughts!

Character Classes ...

..... in C&C include:

Each of the thirteen classes has unique abilities and specialized areas of knowledge:

The Fighter is a warrior with great prowess on the battlefield.

The Ranger is an extraordinary woodsman and warrior.

The Rogue is a rapscallion and an opportunist.

The Assassin is an expert at killing and eliminating targeted enemies.

The Barbarian draws upon vestigial, primal will in combat.

The Monk conditions his body to withstand the rigors of war and the elements.

The Wizard is a practitioner of powerful arcane magics.

The Illusionist magically distorts the perceptions of others.

The Cleric is avowed to a deity and dispenses divine justice.

The Druid owes allegiance to the elemental powers of the world.

The Knight is a natural leader and strong combatant.

The Paladin is a warrior blessed by divinity, a paragon of good.

The Bard influences others through the power of words.

LOL

Figured they might relocate this thread to Recruiting!

When I get something written up then I will post a Recruitment Thread.

Meanwhile any comments or inquiries are more than welcome!
