Star Wars 'Imperial March' recruitment
I am going to try and run a Star Wars Imperial Campaign. This is my first game I have tried to run at the inn. I have gamemastered before, but I still need practice. My groups have never been too good at roleplaying, so I need practice at day to day interactions. My groups were great at doing very strange and random things though, and I have gotten very good at damage control.
I am looking for a group between 3-6. In the campaign, you are a new Special Forces group; an attempt by the Empire to replace the aging clone commandos. You have been selected for your potential to be a good soldier, not because you are currently a good soldier. I would prefer if one person played a highly loyal person to the Empire and if one person was an officer (either a sergeant or a leiutenant). Their are minimums to be a certain type of trooper though,
Stormtrooper: Minimum 12 Strength and Dexterity, 11 constitution, and 10 everything else. Must have the feats armour pro light, weapon pro Simple, Pistols Rifles, weapon focus rifles. And the skill Endurance. You can also use the clone trooper stats, 15 strength, 13 dexterity, 10 constitution, 12 intellegence, 10 wisdom, 8 charisma, and + 2 to one of the stats.
Imperial army trooper ( these trooper are the common troopers in the army): They do all the less important stuff) Minimum 10 Strength and Dexterity. Require the feats Weapon pro pistols, and Armour pro light. As an officer, they need to have above average Intellegence, Wisdom, and Charisma.
Navy personnel have a minimum of 10 Intellegence. An officer needs 12 Intellegence and Wisdom. They also need 14 Charisma. A pilot needs to have 12 dexerity and Intellegence. They need to have the pilot skill, and armour pro light. All navy personell must have wepon pro pistol and the use computer skill.
A draftee is also possible. They are in all branches, but especially the army and navy. It is also possible to be a storm trooper who was a different type of soldier who was assigned to the Storm trooper. An example in Star Wars was an At-At pilot who was assigned to be a Stormtrooper for knowing the At-At weakness.
Mercenaries are also playable. They are less restricting than the other types of areas, and are not restricing. The Empire does pay its mercs fairly well.
To play anyone non-human you would need to play a merc. Most non-human species were discriminated against. A less diliked species are trandoshans. Mercs get 5000 starting credits.
This game takes place in an alien uprising that the Empire must crush. The aliens have different technology, possibly better than the Empire's.
Classwise, some classes are easier to play than others.
Soldier, fairly easy to play.
Scout, work but they don't get as good with armour
Scoundrel, probably a draftee. a bit harder to play as an Imperial.
Jedi, very hard to play. You would have to hide your powers from all your teammates.
If you're intrested, please post. I would like to have everyone post 1 post a week in game. It starts at level 2. I recommend that everyone takes one level in the soldier class, and takes the Armoured Defence talent to prevent your armour from hindering you. The Empire insits that its soldiers look identical. As a soldier, you get to requisition your gear. It is 2000 credits + your armour. you get for your type. As a merc, you get buy all of your equipment. You get about 5000 credits to start.

STAR WARS!
Anybody who knows me knows that I jump on any SW game going.
This one will be particularly interesting though as playing an Imp would be a new experaince and one that I could easily enjoy. I do find your use of the word 'alien' to be strange though, considering that every race in SW, except the humans, is an alien race. Do you mean alien as in alien to the SW galaxy, alien as in an undiscovered race in the SW galaxy, or alien as in the [insert race persecuted by the Empire] are rising up?
Also, are you breaking from the SW cannon or will this be a cannon game?
(I am assuming by your mention of talents that you will be using the SW Saga rule set)

Alien
Imperials often call anyone but humans aliens. The Empire is exclusive to humans. I am making these aliens up so I can give them different weapons. At the begining, the campaign doesn't affect the story. It is using the saga edition rulebook too.

Some Soldier types ideas
If anyone is having trouble making characters, here are some common soldiers in general spec ops squads.
For a Spec ops group there are some soldier types that the officers would choose:
1 officer. Almost all spec ops groups had someone that could command.
1 soldier. Spec ops always contain at least one capable soldier.
Well this is not a class, Imperial command always puts one completely loyal person( to the Empire) in all squads including spec ops.
For spec ops group, often a tech spec is chosen.
Most spec ops have a sniper, though this can be combined with another role.
A medic, or at least some medical training is in the group. Like the sniper, the medical can be compensated with other soldier taking them

I'd offer to join
But I don't know if I'd be able to play the role of a soldier.
Now if you could use an astromech droid... I could do that.
R2-K8 ring any bells, Loki?

Astromech Droid... Yes!
I apologise, but I seemed to have forgoten to place droids in the opening post. My mistake. I copied out the base Imperial stuff, and I really should have checked for other things. If you want to play an astromech, it is fine by me.

*fades in*
I would love to take part in a Star Wars game, however, I don't have any of the neccessary material to create a character.
I feel that creating your character gives you one more link of attachment, and one more aid to roleplay, don't you? Something that bothers me about pregens.
