Newbie
Hello everyone, good afternoon/evening/morning. I'm KingRat (If my username didn't give that away) and I saw you had a Comings and Goings board so I thought I should make myself known so to speak.
I'm an avid roleplayer, with currently two Dungeons and Dragons (4th edition) games i'm DMing, a Savage worlds campaign i'm playing in and a Dark heresy game. I also free form regularly on boards and in person. I came here in the hope of some D&D games i can play, mainly because I'm normally the DM (I have the most books in my group) and it can get a little overwhelming. Sometimes I just want to roleplay someone of my own afterall, not just all the NPCS! So, if there are any games recruiting then I'll be happy to send the DM an extract of RP or something similar. I do have a 1st and 2nd edition Advanced D&D players handbook too...just haven't read them over much. If anyone would prefer either of those too forth edition and are willing to help me along or at least have the patience to bare with me as I work it out then I will happily join in there.
Hope I fit in and have a few memorable moments here!

Games to check out
KingRat,
Welcome to the Inn! We hope your stay is pleasant... and that you stay FOREVER! (Bwahahahahaha!)
For real, though... three games are currently looking for new players:
The webmaster, Olan (T_catt1) is starting up a semi-free form Star Trek adventure.
Philosopher is looking at beginning a heroic fantasy adventure in his own homebrew setting using the Pathfinder ruleset (you can find the core rules SRD at www.d20pfsrd.com, I believe... great site...).
And I am looking at beginning a Star Wars games in either the Clone Wars or Rebellion era. The game is using the SAGA edition ruleset, but the characters are pre-gen.
You can check out the recruitment threads out for these games under the Recruitment forum. Even if you are not familiar with the rulesets, the DM/GMs tend to do most/all of the dice rolling, so no worries there. Beyond that, I'm sure each of the GM/DMs would be willing to help you put together a character for the game if needed.
Good luck and don't feed the Grugg (he's on a special diet).
Peace!
Ayrn

Welcome
There are usually all kinds of games going on, the recruitment thread is a great place to start looking.
I know Aryn mentioned it already, but I'll add to it, there is currently a Fathfinder game recruiting that I am participating in, that I know still needs a few players to get it going.. So if you find a moment, take a look over at the King's Blades thread and see if you wouldn't be interested in joining up and adding another to our roster.

Welcome...............
Thought I'd pop in here and add the Canned Ody welcome.
Pop into the DragonChat where I act as current resident bar tender. We offer our very own "Good Old Froth-n-Slosh", the stale pale ale with the foam on the bottom.
Just grab a mug off the mantel and draw a cold frosty one.
My assistant Igor is usually lurking around if I'm not there.
He never says anything, must have something to with having his tongue cut out by his last boss, that nasty bar tender over at the Orc Bar & Grill.
I'll have him put out a plate of "Lady Fingers" in your honor.
Reminds me we need to have another "Ladies Night" and restock.
Anyway the Posting Games are great place to get to know folks and of course the DragonChat is our favorite lounge.
So lurk or play, welcome to the Inn!

Thank you all.
Thanks everyone. I might just have to follow the advice and check the pathfinder thread and make a character. I've had very limited experience with pathfinder but it sounds like the best option. (no offence to those other games, I'm just much more into medieval/fantasy than futuristic settings.). I feel very welcome already, I didn't expect such a large number of hellos! I'll just hop over now...
