Having played the first one, and only the first one, I can conclusively say that my first Shepherd looked remarkably like Chuck Norris, and sucker-punched a reporter.

That's a fairly solid GOTY contender based on that analysis.

You know, she comes back to bother Shepard in every game. And you can hit her in every game. You'd think she'd learn.

(Edit: Actually in the third one she DOES finally dodge you. And if you don't headbutt her, she'll punch you back.)

I couldn't believe they got Martin Sheen to play the villain from 2 onward. His voice is perfect for the whole "Charismatic villain who is obviously hiding everything from you".

Good voice acting all around, actually.
