Sorry, some unexpected things have come up, I had to move, and am still getting situated. I'm sorry for the delay and I'll get a post up asap.

Also delayed

So I'm in the middle of a move and it's happening faster than I planned and I will be away from internet for the foreseeable future. Sorry

moving bees

Well, I will be here ready to shoot at bees as soon as the hive is in order.

Post is up. Thanks to shield for getting my answer, and my apologies to everyone else. I probably should have just posted and then asked shield when he came back. My bad.

Not a big fan of stingers.

In my last post Gelion was looking for a position in the trees that might be hard for the bees to get through or into. Perhaps a place where the trees are too close together for their wingspan. Does he see anything like that around the group anywhere?

Also, how far away are the bees when we first see them appear?

And one more - did we lose Yohn somewhere?

questions need answers

As Aim is a full round action you would not have been able to reposition until your next turn, but yes, you would be able to locate some trees to provide you with cover and limit the bee's movement.

For the sake of keeping the combat moving after the first bee fell I just had the bees zoom in and did not put much thought into the distance at which they initially appeared, I was more concerned with keeping the action moving at this point.

Yes, we in fact do appear to have lost Puff, which the group will likely notice once the chaos of battle has passed. Ayrn has withdrawn from the game for the time being for personal reasons.

Posting

Sorry for the delay. I hadn't realized it had been a week. I wanted to look up combat details so I could post the combat plusses. I'll get something up tonight. Obviously Gelion will shoot at the bee in front of him - the bug that stung him. He also will try and move to a spot that is more defensible.

The problem with computers . . .

. . . is that when you drop them they don't bounce.

No, they just land with a heart-rending thud. And then they never act the same again. In this case, they never act again period. Yes, sacrifices were even made to the appropriate gods with no success.

In truth, I didn't lose that much as I have been very careful about backing up the stuff I really need. However, I did lose all my favorites. That means I lost the site that connects to the info on this game. I have never done any FF before so have no idea how to figure out the various combat bonuses without it. Could someone send me the appropriate link? I could google search, but as I am not 100% sure exactly what the system is I am searching for that seems like a questionable option.

I will post for Gelion as is, but obviously without any details about combat bonuses.

Information on this system can be found here.

...

Hate to say it, but it looks like we may have to call this fizzled. While it is clear that the 2 active players are more than capable of handling the bees, I cannot see moving on at this point after having lost 3 people. I'll give it a week to see if at least one other person posts, and then I'm afraid I'm gonna have to call this one...for the time being at least.

That would stink

I don't understand starting a game and then quitting. Sometimes real life gets in the way, but usually people post to say that. Just dropping seems . . . I don't know, *insert word here*. But it stinks. I liked Gelion and had plans for the man. The bees were only the beginning!

So come on back folks!
