Gorram SNOW! Snowsnowsnowsnowsnowsnowsnow

Yesterday we got some more snow in here and by some I mean about 10 inches. So I spent a good part of my sunday showling sh.. snow. Yay!

To be honest, it's good exercise and now that it's fairly cold (-15C or 5F) outside, the snow is light and powdery. So it's light/easy to showel and here in Finland we have all kinds of specialist snow plowing tools, scoops, showels, etc. to help us. I'm trying to say it wasn't really that bad. Thanks for the nice physical exercise, Mother Nature.

Come today. My wife heads off to work and my daughter to school. I work happily at home. Then it's 3pm and I decide to go outside and check the snailmail. What do I find waiting for me outside? Another 8-10 inches of fresh snow. FUUUUUUUU! Thanks a bunch Mother Nature. I didn't like it that much. FFS.

Raven's buried...

We got 8 inches last week, which for Missouri is not unheard of, but not a regular occurance either.  The cold snap meant it stuck around too... however, it's finally going to hit 50F today and it's melting.

I had given up shoveling out my van so I've been driving my husbands big truck for the past two weeks, maybe the giant pile of snow behind the van will melt and I'll get to drive my car again...

Sorry to hear that you are still getting assaulted with the snow!

Spring is around the corner... I hope.

M.

Poor Raven!

Sounds like you might want to add a flamethrower to your arsenal of snow removal tools, buddy!

I'm in much the same boat as Meri... Similar amounts of snow and cold from the recent storms but expected to creep up into the 40s or 50s today. Which means that beautiful blanket of white stuff is gonna melt and turn the yard into a sloggy muddy mess all too soon. Blech!

Snowity snow

Still rolling on the floor at that half an inch shutting everything down in Alabama! I'd already forgotten all about it.
That flamethrower might indeed come in handy, Rob. There's another 8 inches on the way tomorrow.

To be fair, we had sleet, then ice before the snow.  With no plows, salt trucks, or chains... ice makes roads impassible.

These people cannot drive in the rain.  Ice?  Nope, nope, nope, and also... nope.

...

We're back up to 65F today.  Snow's all melted, the world is just muddy.  I swear the weather around here is drunk.

I'll see what I can do about sending some of it your way...

M.
