Olan's thoughts for this strip:
At long last, the mini arc of the final battle draws to a close. I hope that you have enjoyed reading it as much as I have enjoyed making it.

I have decided that after this chapter, there will be no more fire in Loaded Dice for a while... it takes me too darned long to color!

Before anyone decides to call BS on me for the resolution of this fight, know this - remember that this chapter is based on a real life gaming session that I once ran. The final battle worked out almost exactly this very same way, coming down to literally one final roll of the dice.

Script for this strip:
Amy: "Four!"

Steve: "You'll get one shot, then. I assume that Dalana is attacking?"

Amy: "Of course she's attacking. Here goes nothing!"
Ray: "Oh, man."
Rich: "I can't look!"

Amy: "Seventeen!"

Steve (narrator): "The monster charges, the ranger's death in his eyes, but before he can strike, Dalana looses a final arrow that strikes home."

Steve (narrator): "The Ice Haunt crumples to the floor of the now flaming room and does not move again. By the narrowest of margins, the party has defeated the menace."
