Olan's thoughts for this strip:
Now hear this! Effective immediately, Loaded Dice will now update on a Tuesday/Friday schedule. This is to accomodate Tiana's new work schedule.

Ah... back to the real story. About time!

It's always fun to throw encounters at the party that force them to act out of their normal comfort zone (in other words, they can't just waltz in and hack the opponent to bits). some of the best gaming moments come out of the zany schemes hatched by your players.

For the record, it's also fun to make them retreat.

Script for this strip:
Dalana: "Let us approach the door carefully and try to open it."

Steve (narrator): "When you attempt to open the door, the statues come to life and attack!"

Faustus: "Stand your ground!"

Steve: "Seriously, that's your plan? Try to hurt stone statues with metal blades?"

Steve (narrator): "Aside from a truly mighty blow from Ladan's mace - which knocks out a tiny chip - your attacks accomplish nothing but notching your weapons on the hard stone."

Steve (narrator): "The statues, while slow and clumsy, are quite strong - as Faustus' beaten body can attest."

Tim: "We're going to have to try something different, guys."
Amy: "Like using our heads, for once?"
Brad: "Retreat!"
Rich: "Run away!"

Ray: "When danger reared its ugly head, the party turned and bravely fled..."

Steve: "What did I say about Holy Grail references? Unless you actually want to fight a vorpal ice bunny, cut it out!"

Ray: "Spoilsport."
