Hmm...
Well good to know he's alive, but I'm gonna have to post tomorrow.
Anyway, what else Varis has? Not healing potions, so unless the 'no-magic' chunk means something now, I only have the poison, which might be useful now but was pointless when a crossbow was levelled at him across the room.
Still, we'll see where that gets us, I imagine.
(Go Karrain!)

Er.
Well took me long enough, but I finally worked out your hints. ^^
Of course, I think I'll wait until Karrain's spell takes his effect before doing my planned dramatic swing down of the Catalium chunk onto Barbant's bracer.

Er
Sorry if the post seems a little cut off, but that's normal, seeing as you're in split-second-decision town!

Bye Thomas
Hmmm, I WAS planning on continuing with the immortality theme, but it just doesn't work, it's impossible to write.

Nah
Nah thanks, it would actually have overcomplicated things.
Also, there's WELL enough stuff going on in this adventure. I don't think one plot twist is gonna be missed ^^

Botree Mead
Not enough info to merit an actual game post:
Varis will have seen many people drink it in his travels, mainly middle-class, as it's a subtle and sweet taste. He will have met a bartender who will have explained the process of extracting the sap from the Botree, sieving the woodchips away and the fermentation process.
It's a similar strength to a very powerful beer, around the 9% alcohol (but of course they don't measure booze on Anchor).
EDIT: In fact, Karrain drank a mead on his arrival in the tavern at the beginning.

Oh
And this jug of it looks and smells like mead, not one of the best, but nonetheless a perfectly fine one.

I hope you like that Wall of Plot.
I'll let you both react before Khan reads you the letters.
