Come and Take a Seat by the Fire

Ah. My first character. His name was Bogru Dagsteeth. He was a Half-Orc Barbarian. His mother had been an Orc, though whom his father had been was a mystery to him. His mother had died in child birth, in the woods. A family of farmers heard his cries and took him in, though as a servant, and not a son. As he came of age he became quite embittered by his role, and, wielding one of the sledge hammers from the barn, massacred the family with but one exception. The little boy that would call him "Bogru". It was a better name than "Slave". The kid had gotten it from tales of the boogey man. The Half-Orc had rather liked it.

After freeing himself from his bonded life, he set out on a journey to more fully understand his heritage. This is where he found a tribe of Orcs in the foothills beyond the little farm in the forest. The tribe treated him with suspicion at best, disdain at worst. The chieftain was particularly unfond of Bogru, and challenged him to a duel. Bogru smashed his face in with a rock, and so became an honorary tribesman. He learned how to speak orcish, and banded together with a few other orcs. Khorgrim, a powerful cleric, Throg, an axe weilding fighter, and Llammoch, a cutthroat
thief.

Together they had many adventures, one particularly important one was when they raided a keep, and after taking out the family inside, had Bogru become Lord of the lands surrounding it. Hence, Lord Bogru was born!

Lord Bogru named his Keep Doomstone. He began to gather tribes of Orcs under his banner. Using them to expand his borders, "The Orc Lords" began war with human lands.

There was a whole bunch of other things, including a tussle with a vampire that destroys his soul, and a demon that torched his entire body. In both cases he was survived in some arcane way. In the end he became a Revenant, who led the remnants of his army against the Capital.

The legend of Bogru is one of my favorite to date.
